The clients wanted this guest bedroom to function both as a comfortable space for two guests and as a full-time study. A double bed would have made the working space too claustrophobic, so we opted for a single bed with pull-out trundle that makes it into a double. We created a dramatic headboard using block colouring and a bold wall-hung rug. This avoided the single bed feeling like it was for a child.

The yellow walls bring a deep warmth throughout the day and evening and the inky blue adds sophistication to the scheme. We hand-picked vintage pieces and unique artworks to build a creative and inspiring space to work in.
